The spell checker checks the spelling of all text in the current file. When an unknown word is encountered, it is highlighted and a replacement can be edited. Penyunting nano direka untuk meniru fungsi dan kemudahgunaan penyunting teks UW Pico. Terdapat empat bahagian utama penyunting. Penyemak ejaan menyemak ejaan semua teks didalam fail semasa. Apabila perkataan yang tidak diketahui dijumpai, ia akan disorot dan penggantinya boleh disunting.
